Experience Waregem Koerse safely!
This year we celebrate the 175th anniversary of Waregem Koerse. The usually beautiful weather and the massive attendance of the public make every edition a big party.
Along with a number of partners, such as the administrative authorities, the police, the fire brigade and a security company, we strive together to guarantee the safety of those present at our event. A number of organizational and technical resources have been hired for this, they have experience during previous editions and will be working with us again this year. Number of volunteers are also supporting the organization on the day of Waregem Koerse.
As you enter the venue, you may be required to open your bags and handbags. This check will be done professionally for security reasons.
We recommend that you do not bring any backpacks to the event, as there is a chance that, for safety reasons, the organization will not allow bags inside the venue.
The organization certainly hopes that no evacuation will have to take place during this wonderful event. If this should happen, the organization has thoroughly prepared itself and will coordinate this as efficiently as possible.
In case of a possible evacuation, we aks you:
- to follow the evacuation signs.
- to follow the directions as shown on the screens on the hippodrome.
- to remain calm and disciplined.
- to strictly follow the instructions of the stewards and security personnel.
- to not return to the hippodrome after evacuation without permission.
We thank you for your collaboration and efforts in keeping this fantastic event safe as we certainly hope that all of this won’t be necessary.
