Anyone heading to Waregem Koerse on Tuesday 1 September can expect much more than top-level sport alone. Late into the evening, the Gaverbeek hippodrome will be buzzing with music, entertainment and celebration. A brand-new addition this year is the Waregem Koerse Afterparty powered by Jupiler, which will close out race day with an impressive line-up headlined by Nina Black, the festival name everyone wants to see live this summer. The collaboration with the team behind De Porcherie is also new.

New: the Waregem Koerse Afterparty powered by Jupiler

Waregem Koerse and Jupiler are joining forces for the next five years in a partnership you’ll soon notice across the entire site. The most striking change? The traditional afterparty is getting a spectacular upgrade.

The well-known party tent at the weighing area remains the place to keep the celebrations going long after the last race. But with support from the De Porcherie team, known for public events such as the opening race of the trotting season (KUB Koercheval), and with Jupiler as a new partner, the Waregem Koerse Afterparty powered by Jupiler kicks things up several notches this year, including with a full-fledged Jupiler Stage.

AB InBev: “Waregem Koerse is one of the most important events of the summer season and, at the same time, the perfect way to close it out. We’re therefore especially pleased to be able to continue our partnership for the next five years and, together, put even more focus on the overall experience, including through the Waregem Koerse Afterparty powered by Jupiler.”

The scale of the ambition is clear from the line-up alone, with Nina Black as the big crowd-puller. The popular MNM dj has grown in recent years into a fixture at festivals such as Tomorrowland, Rock Werchter, Pukkelpop and Polé Polé. With her energy, broad musical taste and unerring feel for her audience, she’s today one of the djs everyone wants to see perform live.

From the first race to the last record

The music starts long before the afterparty. At the start of the event, DJ Tom sets the right mood on the Jupiler Stage. Once the races have wrapped up, a varied line-up takes over.

  • 7.45 – 9.00 PM: DJ Drezz
  • 9.00 – 10.00 PM: Nina Black
  • 10.00 – 11.00 PM: Third Choice (Employerz, Feliz & MC Tipsy)
  • 11.00 PM – 12.00 AM: Bootleg Brothers

The other acts also promise a great party. DJ Drezz, likewise a fixture on national radio and at Tomorrowland, will warm up the crowd ahead of headliner Nina Black. After that, Third Choice — a brand-new collaboration between beloved Waregem djs Employerz, Feliz and MC Tipsy — will deliver a local first. The Bootleg Brothers close out the night with a solid mix of classics and current party hits.

Bram Vandewalle, director of Waregem Koerse, is already looking forward to it: “Waregem Koerse has long been about much more than just a day of racing. People come for the sport, but also for the atmosphere. Thanks to the renewed partnership with Jupiler and the support of De Porcherie, we can make that celebration even bigger. We’ll be closing out the day with an afterparty that fits Waregem Koerse perfectly!”

A hippodrome full of festivities

There’s plenty to experience beyond the Jupiler Stage too. On the central square, Beat Boutique will add extra atmosphere with live saxophone, vocals and dj sets. Across the whole hippodrome, the Ze Quaffeurz will also be roaming around: a mobile party act that pops up unexpectedly among the crowd with live music, humour and interaction, adding extra fun everywhere they go.
